AKA “Understanding the Policy Relevance of 21st Century Philosophy.”
In this NSF-funded grant we are conducting research on
a) Instances of success or failure in efforts to bring academic philosophic insights to non-philosophic audiences, particularly to STEM researchers and policy makers, and
b) to identify methods, techniques, approaches, or perspectives that have been developed by philosophers to facilitate the transfer of useful insights to the STEM and policy communities.
A follow-on grant application to continue this work is pending at NSF.
